D.J. Kleinbaum co-founded Emerald Therapeutics with Brian Frezza in 2010 and was its co-CEO; the company first built the Emerald Cloud Lab, a remotely operated lab, for its own research, and launched it as a service in 2014. He holds a doctorate in chemistry from Stanford University and is a Carnegie Mellon alumnus.
