About
John Chodera is president and chief executive of Achira, which builds atomistic models of how molecules behave, and an associate member of the Sloan Kettering Institute at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where his lab combines statistical mechanics, molecular simulation and biophysical experiments to predict how small molecules bind their targets and how mutations cause drug resistance. His lab co-develops the OpenMM simulation software. He holds a BS in biology from Caltech and a PhD in biophysics from UC San Francisco, and did postdoctoral work at Stanford and at UC Berkeley as a QB3 Fellow.
