Toward the clinic
The Globe and Mail broke the round, where the CEO declined to comment; co-founder and CEO Anthony Mouchantaf then confirmed the details to BetaKit by email the same day. The Globe calls it an all-equity deal with a small portion paid to early employees, and says the fund provided the majority of the $153M. Both sources name the lead as the OpenAI Startup Fund. BetaKit says Biossil left stealth in April 2026 with $70M raised; The Globe and Mail says OpenAI co-led a $43M round a year earlier. Neither earlier round is recorded here.
