Sam Rodriques is co-founder, director and chief executive of Edison Scientific and FutureHouse, the San Francisco research lab he launched in 2023 to build an AI scientist; Edison was spun out of it in 2025 to commercialise its AI agents. He is a physicist and bioengineer who has developed technologies for spatial and temporal transcriptomics, brain mapping, gene therapy and nanofabrication. He did his PhD at MIT and ran the Applied Biotechnology Lab at the Francis Crick Institute.
