About
Tom Sercu is a co-founder of EvolutionaryScale, where his own site lists him as VP of Engineering. Before that he co-led the protein team at Meta AI (FAIR) in New York, which built the ESM-1, ESM-1b, ESM2 and ESMFold protein language models and the ESM Atlas, and earlier worked at IBM Research. He holds an MS in data science from NYU and a BSc and MSc in engineering physics from Ghent University.
