Zaixi Zhang is the founder, CEO and CTO of Scinetics. He is an assistant professor at HKUST from July 2026, after a postdoc at the Princeton AI Lab with Mengdi Wang. He did his computer science PhD at USTC with Qi Liu, co-advised by Marinka Zitnik at Harvard, and his bachelor's in theoretical and applied mechanics at USTC's School of the Gifted Young; his work covers AI for science and trustworthy AI.
