Level 4 · Tested in the physical world

A PolQ inhibitor scaffold from Iktos's generative model reaches low-nanomolar potency in the test tube, and its most potent compound is inactive in cells

This is a generative design carried through synthesis and assays rather than a docking score, and the paper credits model and chemists together without separating their shares. The cell assay is where it stops: the 8.3 compound showed no potency against BRCA-deficient cells, which the authors put down to poor permeability, so the biochemical gain did not carry into cells. Every number comes from the two companies whose staff wrote the paper, and selectivity against related enzymes and any animal test are still to come.

Level 4 · Tested in the physical world

Iktos's robot runs 135 reactions of 27 kinds in six batches by grouping them on temperature and time, and finds the product in 97

Generative models propose lists of unrelated molecules, and robots built for one-chemistry libraries stall on exactly that, so this works on the make step where AI design meets the bench. The bar for success is the product seen at 5% of the UV trace, not isolated yield, and purified yields ran 4 to 48%. Chemists still chose the targets, the conditions and the reruns: this is a scheduling method for a robot, not an autonomous lab.

Research entries are the timeline's graded entries that name this company. A level grades one claim, not the company, and a blank can mean the record has not caught up rather than that nothing was published.
