Rounds and research, on one timeline

    Level 2 · Computed

Insilico and collaborators publish a 17-task benchmark and specialist LLMs for aging biology

Aging has no agreed definition, unlike cancer's crisp endpoints, so the benchmark's contribution is turning that ambiguity into 17 checkable tasks rather than one contested clock.

  2. 2026-09-07
    Research

Level 3 · Checked against existing evidence

Insilico ran six proteomic aging clocks on blood from its rentosertib trial, and treated patients read biologically younger than placebo, most clearly at week four

It is an attempt to read an aging endpoint out of a disease trial, which is the trial design Insilico is arguing for. But it is the sponsor's exploratory reanalysis of stored samples, with nine to eleven patients per arm at each time point and seven Insilico employees among the authors. The authors say proteomic clocks alone cannot separate slower aging from a treated disease, that they could only address this indirectly, and that doing it properly needs healthy volunteers. The readings did not move further between weeks four and twelve.

An AI-discovered drug reaches randomized Phase 2a evidence

Once an AI-discovered molecule reaches controlled human trials, clinical safety and efficacy become more important evidence than the sophistication of the discovery model.
