CuspAI open-sources kUPS, a GPU molecular simulation engine built so machine-learned force fields plug straight in

Screening materials such as carbon-capture frameworks means chaining simulation methods that live in separate CPU codes, and machine-learned force fields fit them badly. A batched GPU engine is what a company betting on AI-scale screening needs, and releasing it under Apache 2.0 lets others use it. The speed-ups are the company's own: two workloads on one material, against tools running on a CPU core or one system at a time, with no outside benchmark yet.

ODAC25, a 60-million-calculation dataset for direct-air-capture sorbents, takes 460 of its MOFs from CuspAI's generator

A startup's generated structures go into a public dataset others will train on, so its model's output is there for anyone to test against. The released potentials are not scored against DFT alone: their Henry's coefficients are set beside experimental values from the literature, where the journal version has eSEN trained on the full set reaching 0.0085 eV for nitrogen against a conventional force field's 0.0190, while on CO2 the larger UMA-Medium leads instead.
