Generate:Biomedicines cuts a CAR's signalling tail to 45 amino acids, under a third of the clinical design, and reports stronger function

Shortening the tail was expected to cost function, because more activation motifs were read as stronger signalling. The short tail made more receptor per unit of mRNA, which is why the team could put four receptors on one dose, and the report suggests compact tails may lower the dose needed to make CAR T cells inside the body. It is also a worked case of agent-guided design: the agents proposed designs and revised them as measurements came in.

Generate:Biomedicines takes an AI-optimised asthma antibody into two Phase 3 trials

Phase 3 tests the drug, not the design method. No efficacy data yet, and the AI role is the company's own account.

Generate:Biomedicines publishes Chroma, a diffusion model that writes new protein structures and sequences to order, and makes 310 of its designs in the lab

The record holds Generate's IPO, its Phase 3 asthma antibody and its deals, but not its main published method. Chroma puts the design conditions into the sampling itself, so one model takes a symmetry, a shape or a text prompt where otherwise each would need its own tool, and its code is open for others to test.
